This Liability Waiver & Agreement (“Agreement”) is made between Paws & Peaks Adventures & the undersigned dog owner (“Owner”) regarding the services provided by Paws & Peaks Adventures, including but not limited to dog walking, socialisation, & outdoor activities. By signing this Agreement, I acknowledge & accept the following terms & conditions:
I understand that my dog will be taken to various outdoor locations, including dense bush areas, beaches & other natural environments. I acknowledge that these areas may pose risks, including
but not limited to encounters with wildlife, such as snakes, spiders, ticks (including paralysis ticks), insects, leeches, marine life, parasites , sticks and rocks. These risks may result in illness, injury, or death.
I acknowledge that my dog will be taken to public areas where Paws & Peaks staff do not have control over litter, food, or other substances left by the general public. While Paws & Peaks staff will
make reasonable efforts to prevent my dog from consuming or coming into contact with hazardous items, I understand that such incidents may still occur. Risks include, but are not limited to, vomiting, stomach upset, poisoning, & death. If my dog consumes anything harmful, Paws & Peaks will make efforts to contact me as well as seeking immediate veterinary care if necessary.
I understand that Paws & Peaks staff are trained in safe dog socialisation & that my dog may interact with other dogs unless I explicitly request otherwise. I acknowledge that Paws & Peaks cannot control interactions with unknown dogs in public spaces. Risks associated with dog socialisation include, but are not limited to, injuries from rough play, corrections between dogs, & interactions with non-Paws & Peaks dogs. These injuries may include puncture wounds, scrapes, &, in extreme cases, death. Paws & Peaks staff will take reasonable precautions to minimise these risks.
I give permission for Paws & Peaks staff to seek veterinary care for my dog at their discretion. Paws & Peaks will attempt to contact me before seeking veterinary care; however, in the event of an
emergency or if I cannot be reached, I authorise Paws & Peaks to proceed with any necessary veterinary treatment at my expense, unless I have made alternative arrangements with Paws &
Peaks management.
I acknowledge that Paws & Peaks will charge a “safe handling fee” if my dog exhibits behaviours that require additional precautions. These behaviours may include, but are not limited to, extreme
reactivity, excessive strength or size, severe anxiety or escape risks, & human or dog aggression.
I acknowledge that despite regular equipment checks and maintenance, there is a risk of equipment failure, which may result in injury or escape. I also give permission for Paws & Peaks staff to provide a properly fitting collar at my expense if they determine that the one I provided is ill-fitting. I agree to provide a collar tag with my dog’s name & my contact number. However, if I do not have any of those items, Paws & Peaks will supply collar tags.
I confirm that I have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, allergies, behaviour issues, or escape history via the Paws & Peaks client questionnaire. I understand that failure to disclose this information may increase risks for my dog, other dogs, & Paws & Peaks staff.
I acknowledge that my dog is up to date with all required vaccinations (minimum C5) & understand that Paws & Peaks will not provide services if vaccinations are not current. I also confirm that my
dog is regularly treated for fleas, ticks, & worms according to the prescribed schedule. I accept the risks associated with lapsed vaccinations or preventative treatments.
I acknowledge that my dog may come into contact with members of the public during outings. While Paws & Peaks staff will monitor interactions, I understand that my dog may still be at risk of injury or distress due to public behaviour, including negligent driving near walking paths.
I understand that there are inherent risks of escape despite the preventive measures taken by Paws & Peaks. I acknowledge that I have read & agree with the protocols Paws & Peaks follows to prevent escapes & mitigate risks if an escape occurs.
I acknowledge that my booking is not secured unless I have paid the required deposit in accordance with Paws & Peaks policy. I also understand that if I cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, my deposit will be forfeited.
I release & hold harmless Paws & Peaks, its owners, employees, & affiliates from any liability, claims, or expenses arising from my dog’s participation in services provided by Paws & Peaks,
including but not limited to injury, illness, escape, loss, or death. I accept full responsibility for any veterinary or medical expenses incurred as a result of my dog’s participation By signing below, I confirm that I have read, understood, & agree to the terms outlined in this Agreement.
